DIY Hair Conditioner Recipe - leave in

This recipe is already on the blog under the Herbal Shampoo Bar post, as Leave in Hair Detangler.  However, I thought I would give a more comprehensive description with some pics.

You will need:
50ml spray bottle*
1/2 to 1 teaspoon of Rich Cream Moisturiser
warm water

*If you opt for a larger spray bottle adjust the moisturiser and water quantities to suit.

Step one:
Fill your spray bottle up with warm water, leaving room to add the cream.  Using cold water will make the cream harder to mix in with the water.  Using hot water will build up pressure when you shake and can cause the contents to explode.

Step two:
Add the cream to the bottle.  You can see in the below pic I've added around 1 teaspoon of cream to 50ml warm water.  I have used other moisturisers for this conditioner though I find Rich Cream works best.  If you have other moisturisers from our range feel free to try them.

Step three:
Apply the lid and give a stir with the straw part of the spray bottle.

Step Four:
Shake well until the contents are well mixed.  You will may some small lumps of cream here and there.  Shake well before each use.  These lumps will eventually amalgamate into the water.

Spray onto freshly washed wet hair before combing through to help get the knots out.

Note: you can add around 4 drops of tea tree oil if you want to use the conditioner and comb through hair with a head-lice comb.  Or you can add a couple of drops of your favourite essential oil for a nice scent.
